Sweet Stampede Blog Hop April 2025

Hello and happy April Fool's Day.  There will be no tricks today but plenty of fun as you visit each stop of our awesome Sweet Stampede Blog Hop.   If you've been visiting me since January, you know I like using sketches to help me when I am in a creative rut.  It's good to also know that they're good whenever!   This month, Lisa Cunningham, our blog hop organizer, has designed this sketch for us:   e  When I saw this sketch, I knew it would be a good way to use scraps of paper.  I decided to use a combination of patterned paper (SU! calls them Designer Series Paper [DSP]) and cardstock.  To add dimension, I also dry embossed one of the pieces.   Before I share my project, I would like to point out that a strict rendering of the sketch is not required.  Use your imagination and you will be pleased with your end product.  Now on to my card and directions. The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Wild Wheat, sco...

Good afternoon and happy March.  I'm so glad you made it back to my blog for another creative hop with several members of the Sweet Stampede!  Our focus this month is a color challenge designed by our blog organizer, Lisa Cunningham.  You might remember my crafty tidbit about using the colors found in Stampin' Up's Designer Series Paper (DSP) for inspiration.  I also use color challenges to help get the creative juices flowing and this one does not disappoint!  Aren't the colors bright and cheery - great for Spring-themed projects?!    Here's my card using these main colors: And now on to the directions for my card: The base is a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of Basic White Thick card stock scored at 4 1/4. I then "dry embossed" a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Basic White card stock with the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder (#163789).  I used the Spotlight On Nature dies (#163580) to cut out the Basic Black circle.  The sentiment, taken from the Attention Shopp...

Good afternoon and welcome back to my blog.  Today kicks off our second Sweet Stampede blog hop of 2025!  You may be coming from Suzy Hinton's Stamp n' Sip blog or starting here.  Either way, I am glad you made it!  There's a list of all the demonstrators participating at the end of this post so be sure to keep reading.   Our theme this month is super fun.  Every participant has created a project based on this sketch designed by fellow Sweet Stampeder, Lisa Cunningham from LC Designs: I decided to use several items from Sale-a-brations (SAB) for my project.  What's Sale-a-brations, you ask?!  It's only the best time of year for customers and demonstrators!  Just kidding.  We have multiple promotions throughout the year but I love this one the most and here's why.     SAB is Stampin' Up's annual sale event, which runs from January through the end of February.  Customers can earn FREE items with every $...

Hello and Happy New Year from San Antonio, Texas!  My name is Rubina and I have been a hobby demonstrator with Stampin Up! (SU!) for over a decade.  Even though I have been crafting for many years, this is my very first blog.  I am a part of a wonderful team called Sweet Stampede, under the leadership of Erica Cerwin, otherwise known as Pink Buckaroo.  We are starting a monthly blog hop for the first time this year.  My hope is that by creating this blog, I will increase my online presence and maybe even gain a customer or two.  :p  This blog hop is chock full of creativity so don't be surprised if your wish list becomes a mile long.  If you don't already have the new Mini catalog or a demonstrator of your own, please consider supporting my small business. Currently, my customer base is a group of five amazing women who join me every month for some crafty fun - or paper mania as I like to call it.  In addition to my blog hop posts, I plan to ...
